Abstract: The Aravesh Estate in the Nashville, Tennessee area will be sold at a "no reserve, absolute" auction on Saturday. The mansion will be sold to the highest bidder.

The luxurious four-bedroom property is located in Brentwood, home to many musicians and has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment, business, politics and country music, including Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley.

The huge mansion has many exquisite details including fixtures from Argentina, bespoke woodwork and a lead crystal chandelier from the Czech Republic signed by Dolly Parton.

The mansion also boasts a grand entrance hall with a double staircase and formal living and entertaining spaces.

"We approached our clients with the idea of an auction and they thought it was a good idea," says Rebecca Norris DiNapoli, listing agent for Compass, who is representing the property with DeCaro Auctioneers." It wasn't like a fire sale or anything. The sellers just wanted someone else to enjoy the property as much as they did."

Luxury property auctions have been the way to go for some high-profile properties on the West Coast. These include the Bel Air property known as "The One", which sold for $141 million last year.

After years on the market at various price points, the Hearst Estate in Beverly Hills is finally being auctioned off in 2021 for over $63 million.

As for Brentwood Manor, the seller purchased the property in 2014 for $1.987 million. It was initially listed last August for $12,799,000, but no buyers showed up.

"Because it's such a unique property, we just thought the idea of an auction would be a way for the property owner to communicate it," DiNapoli said.

"A lot of people ...... have seen it, but never been inside," she added." People are happy to come to the auction. It's not open to the public. You have to view the property beforehand and then register for the auction."

The mansion on the 4.6-acre hilltop parcel was built in 2000 and designed for large scale entertaining.

"The detached main house has about 10,000 square feet," DiNapoli said." It has a three-car garage with flats above and a 4,100-square-foot entertainment building known as the 'ballroom'.

"The sellers used the event space for their own use and brought in many big name entertainers for private parties and many performances to raise money for charity," she said.

The opulent entertainment facility features three beautiful chandeliers, Corinthian columns, and two mezzanine balconies.

DiNapoli notes that interest in the mansion is varied.

"Some people come over and want to use the house as a space for private events, while others say they want to turn the space into a car showroom, a billiards room with an indoor pool or a bowling alley," she says.

Local real estate agent Jeremy Jeter of Engel & Völkers is looking forward to seeing the results of the auction.

"It's always difficult to say how much a property like this will sell for," he says. The house has a lot of interesting and exotic materials," he says.

"A house of similar size," he continues, "traded for about $4 million last year." A house like this was built for someone who has been hosting major events for many years, so it needs a special buyer. Someone who might want to use the house in a similar nature to host lavish parties and charity events."
